Privacy Policy
Didwell helps people record career accomplishments, organize work history, and create brag documents and resume materials. This policy explains how Didwell handles information when you use the mobile application and related services.
Didwell's initial release is offered through the United States App Store and is intended for users in the United States. This availability setting does not prevent an eligible user from accessing the service while traveling.
Information you provide
Depending on the features you use, Didwell may process:
- account information, such as your name, email address, and authentication details;
- career and profile information, such as employers, roles, dates, responsibilities, professional links, and accomplishments;
- resumes, job descriptions, files, and other content you upload or create;
- prompts, instructions, and generated content used by writing, tailoring, chat, PDF, or other assisted features; and
- support messages and information you choose to include in them.
If you sign in through Google or Apple, Didwell receives the account information that provider makes available according to your choices and its policies.
Information collected automatically
Didwell may process technical information needed to operate and protect the service, such as app version, build and update identifiers, device and platform information, feature configuration, request failures, and crash diagnostics.
The mobile app uses Sentry for crash and error diagnostics and ConfigCat for feature configuration. Sentry data is stored in the United States for 30 days under the current plan; server-side data scrubbing is enabled, IP-address storage is disabled, and the mobile application disables Sentry's default personal-information collection and session replay. ConfigCat configuration is downloaded through its Global CDN, and user-targeting conditions are evaluated locally by the mobile SDK. The current email-based condition uses a confidential hashed comparator.
Didwell does not include advertising, use personal information for cross-app tracking or targeted advertising, or sell or rent personal information.
How information is used
Didwell uses information to:
- create and secure your account;
- save, organize, search, export, and delete your career information;
- import, generate, tailor, and export resume and PDF content;
- provide writing assistance and other requested AI-powered features;
- provide reminders and app features you enable;
- diagnose failures, monitor reliability, prevent abuse, and improve the service; and
- respond to support requests and comply with legal obligations.
AI, resume, and PDF processing
When you request writing assistance, resume tailoring, chat, import, or PDF generation, the relevant content is sent to Didwell's backend and may be processed using Google's paid Gemini API. Under Google's current paid-service terms, Google does not use prompts or responses to improve its products, but may temporarily log them to detect prohibited use and maintain service safety and security.
Didwell does not intentionally persist raw Gemini requests or responses; generated information becomes stored app data only when you choose to save or apply it. PDF rendering otherwise occurs within Didwell's backend. Do not upload information you are not authorized to share.
Sharing and service providers
Didwell uses the following categories of providers only as needed to provide and secure the service:
- Google Cloud for backend hosting, operational logging, secret management, and paid Gemini AI processing;
- Supabase for the production PostgreSQL database, hosted in North Virginia, United States;
- Cloudflare for uploaded-file object storage, public web pages, domain services, and email routing;
- Sentry for error and crash diagnostics stored in the United States;
- ConfigCat for feature configuration delivered through its Global CDN; and
- Apple and Google when you choose their authentication services.
These providers may process information in the United States and other locations where they operate, subject to their applicable terms and safeguards. Didwell may also disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a corporate transaction. Didwell does not sell or rent personal information.
Retention
Didwell retains account and career information while your account is active. Confirmed app-data or account deletion removes the applicable records from the active database and deletes associated uploaded files from active object storage. Didwell's current database plan does not provide managed daily or point-in-time backups, and Didwell does not maintain a separate manual production database backup.
Ordinary backend application logs and Sentry diagnostics are retained for 30 days. Google Cloud retains required administrative and system audit logs for 400 days in a provider-controlled, non-configurable log bucket. Support correspondence is retained for up to 12 months after the request is resolved, unless it must be kept longer for security, dispute-resolution, or legal reasons.
Your choices and controls
The app's Profile screen provides controls to:
- export a copy of account data;
- delete stored app data while keeping the account; and
- delete the account and associated app data.
After the server confirms deletion, the applicable live database records and uploaded files have been removed. Operational logs, required provider audit logs, support correspondence, and records that must be retained for security, disputes, or legal obligations expire according to the periods described above.
You can disable local notifications in Didwell or iOS settings. You may also contact [email protected] with privacy requests.
Security
Didwell uses safeguards intended to protect information, including encrypted HTTPS transport and platform secure storage for the mobile session token. No system is completely secure.
Children
Didwell is not directed to children under 13, and Didwell does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 provided personal information, contact [email protected].
Regional rights
Depending on applicable United States state law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information and to appeal a decision about a request. Contact [email protected] to exercise an applicable right. Didwell may take reasonable steps to verify the request and will respond as required by applicable law.

Didwell may update this policy. The effective date above will be updated when changes take effect, and additional notice will be provided when required.
